June 3, 2006

In order to support integrated marketing activities of global clients such as LG Electronics, GIIR formed a strategic alliance with PICO with expectations for billings to reach approximately USD 25million in the first year through event marketing.

On June 2nd, 2006, GIIR (CEO Chong S. Lee), the holding company of LG Ad, announced its strategic alliance with global event marketing agency PICO Far East Holdings Limited in Hong Kong. With this new partnership GIIR will be able to secure an advantage in promotion activities both at home and abroad. In addition, cooperating with other companies under the GIIR umbrella including the US and China incorporations and CCG (Center Creative Group), the alliance will enable global clients such as LG Electronics to be served with more efficient support for brand management and total marketing activities.

PICO is a world renowned agency specializing in the fields of global exhibitions and event marketing. It was an official partner of the 2004 Athens Olympics and also conducted major projects such as those for the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics. PICO currently has a global network of operations in 30 major cities around the world with a staff of more than 1,800.

This strategic alliance is another display of GIIR¡¯s aggressive move into the overseas market, especially in the global exhibitions and event marketing area which is expected to register an annual growth of 13% while growth of the global advertising market is projected to be a mere annual 5%. With GIIR¡¯s existing clients currently spending over 200 million USD in BTL marketing every year, the partnership is forecast to bring about more than 25 million USD in billings for the two companies in the first year.
